Devinci House Work Table #01
Constructed by Jeremiah Wesley Russell
At the heart of Devinci House sits a table—a piece born from necessity, shaped by intention, and built with care. Inspired by Donald Judd’s iconic slip-together plywood table, our version embraces the spirit of modularity and minimalism, using 5-ply maple plywood and no screws. Every joint is carefully fit and joined by hand, making it both honest in construction and quietly expressive in form.
This 8-foot-long, 4-foot-wide, 3-foot-tall table serves many lives. It anchors our studio space as a place where artists work side by side. It hosts ideas, materials, laughter, and long hours. And when needed, it transitions seamlessly into our exhibitions—functioning as a display surface or a communal point of gathering.
Built by multidisciplinary artist and Devinci House collaborator Jeremiah Wesley Russell, this piece isn’t just furniture—it’s infrastructure for creativity. It reflects our belief that utility and beauty are not mutually exclusive. And, like everything at Devinci House, it’s a reminder that anything is possible when art, intention, and collaboration meet.

Devinci House is a pioneering contemporary art gallery founded on the belief that beauty can save the world. Established in 2024, it is becoming a home for artists and art lovers alike—a space to explore the present and future of the art world and beyond.
Founded by Talon Devinci Hawthorne in Greenville, South Carolina, Devinci House represents a new wave of curatorial practice—one that moves beyond traditional walls and into new spaces, creating meaningful experiences between art, artists, and audiences. The gallery champions emerging and mid-career artists locally, regionally, and globally.
Through exhibitions, creative collaborations, special projects, and artist representation, Devinci House continues to shape an evolving vision of what a gallery can be.
